Standard versus Digital Deluxe Edition

Standard is the Complete Edition itself: original plus Xtreme Legends, 42 officers, Musou Mode through System, and the remaster action set. At $39.99 on Steam it is the SKU that actually contains the game. Deluxe does not add extra kingdoms or extra officers; it adds cosmetics, Camp items, fusion weapons, and an art collection on top of that same game.

The Deluxe item list is specific. Forty-two retro costumes match the 42-officer count. Wind Scroll, Tiger Amulet, and Six Secret Teachings are named Camp items. Forty-two fusion weapons feed Weapon Fusion without waiting to farm duplicates. The Officer Concept Art Collection is a gallery extra. If you do not care about costumes or fusion stock, Standard already has the battles.

Steam is the store that prints $39.99 for Standard. Console storefronts set their own tags. Deluxe is worth it if you want the 42 costumes and the fusion stockpile on day one. It is not required for Musou Mode, XL stories, or split-screen. Read the include row in the table as a packing list, not as a second campaign.

Retro-Style Red Hare Saddle pre-order

Pre-orders placed before 30 September 2026 include the Retro-Style Red Hare Saddle. Steam is also explicit that Red Hare earned in play has higher stats than Red Hare (Retro). The saddle is a timed bonus, not a fourth edition, and the retro mount is the weaker of the two Red Hares once you have both.

KOEI TECMO Europe's 1 October news restates the pre-order window alongside the European date. If you buy after that window, you still get Standard or Deluxe; you just miss the saddle. The in-play Red Hare remains earnable. Do not treat Retro Red Hare as the best mount in the file, because the store page already says it is not.

Red Hare is the mount people remember from Lu Bu's orbit. The retro saddle is a cosmetic-timed grant; the stronger Red Hare is the one you earn by playing. If you miss the pre-order window you lose the retro saddle, not the chance to see Red Hare in battle. Europe news and Steam both carry that distinction, which is why the table keeps the saddle on its own column.

Japanese TREASURE BOX

TREASURE BOX is the Japan physical package: the game, an original officer rough-design artbook, an original plus XL soundtrack CD, and four reversible jackets. It is not a North American Steam SKU. Xbox and Steam listings on the Japanese hub are digital; PS5 and Switch 2 carry package SKUs.

If you want the soundtrack and artbook, TREASURE BOX is the product. If you want 42 fusion weapons and retro costumes, Deluxe is the product. They solve different jobs. Store links for each platform live on October 1, 2026. Steam remains the PC storefront at app 3841510.

Reversible jackets and a soundtrack CD are physical reasons to import TREASURE BOX. They do not change the 42-officer list or add a fifth platform. Digital Deluxe remains the extra for Steam and other digital storefronts. Pick the box if you want objects on a shelf; pick Deluxe if you want in-game costumes and fusion weapons. Standard remains the complete game without either bonus layer.

Which box to buy for which job

Buy Standard if you want 42 officers, XL stories, split-screen, and the remaster actions. Buy Deluxe if you also want 42 retro costumes, 42 fusion weapons, Wind Scroll, Tiger Amulet, Six Secret Teachings, and the Officer Concept Art Collection on day one. Add the pre-order only before 30 September 2026, and only if the retro saddle matters to you.

Import TREASURE BOX if the artbook, soundtrack CD, and reversible jackets are the point. Do not import it expecting extra officers; the 42-person list is already in Standard. Console players should open the matching store link on the release page rather than a March 2026 news post that still mentions Switch 1. Steam remains $39.99 for Standard at app 3841510.

A collector who wants both Deluxe extras and the Japanese soundtrack still has to buy two products; they do not stack into one Steam bundle on the current listing. Check the Japan hub for TREASURE BOX stock and Steam for Deluxe. The saddle cutoff is 30 September 2026 on Steam, independent of the 1 October console clocks.

Standard still contains every officer, every XL story that the hubs name, and split-screen. Deluxe and TREASURE BOX only add cosmetics, materials, or physical extras around that same Complete Edition.
